Cloudia’s Riku Turkia gets top marks in the highly regarded ArchiMate certification exam
During the summer and early autumn Cloudia’s Software Architect, Riku Turkia, has successfully completed the internationally acclaimed ArchiMate modeling language certifications ArchiMate 3 Foundation and ArchiMate 3 Practitioner. To date, the first has been awarded to 1,068 people globally, and the second to 806 people. Turkia received top marks in the demanding exams.
“I completed the exams at the Savonia University of Applied Sciences in Kuopio, where the supervisor said he saw a 100% result for the first time during his time as a supervisor for Pearson VUE* tests.”
What is ArchiMate modelling?
ArchiMate is a standardised enterprise architecture modeling language developed by The Open Group for describing comprehensive architecture. It describes the relations within and between architecture fields and the related concepts and provides a simple and unified structure to describe the content of these domains. In other words, ArchiMate offers a unified language for the construction and operational description of business processes, different data flows, organisational structures and technical infrastructure. Competence in the ArchiMate language helps to plan, evaluate and communicate the consequences of decisions and alterations both within and between different business sectors.
For the improvement of Cloudia’s services, the ArchiMate description language enables, for instance, the modeling of connections within and between our systems.
“The intention is to use ArchiMate to find out what kind of data transfer we will be able to offer to our clients in the future through open interfaces,” Turkia explains.
Long career at Cloudia
Turkia has been a part of Cloudia’s operations since the company’s journey began, for almost 10 years. He was one of the programmers for the first version of Cloudia Sourcing.
“I eventually left coding to others and since then I have been involved with our customer support, product specification and product owner tasks.”
