National institute for health and welfare promotes the sustainability of the welfare society in Finland

The National Institute for Health and Welfare has used Cloudia Sourcing for tendering its procurements since January 2018. The organization was looking for a system to make its procurement process electronic so that the digitalization of the procurement process would always work in an efficient and professional manner, from planning to signing a contract.

The National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is an expert agency working under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health. THL studies and monitors the well-being and health of the population and develops measures to promote these. THL is one of Finland’s most internationally networked research organizations. Each year, over 800 articles written by THL are published in scientific journals.

Add professionalism to procurement with Cloudia Sourcing

The National Institute for Health and Welfare has used Cloudia Sourcing for tendering its procurements since January 2018.

Miika Kivinen, a procurement expert at THL, says that the organization was looking for a system to make its procurement process electronic so that the digitalization of the procurement process would always work in an efficient and professional manner, from planning to signing a contract.

“The aim was to add all the information to the system in one go.”

According to Kivinen, tasks such as creating calls for tenders, comparing tenders and searching for tenders have all become easier thanks to Cloudia Sourcing, thereby making all of the sourcing information available in one place.

Fewer mistakes, increased savings

According to Kivinen, THL hopes that using Cloudia Sourcing will result in savings both in terms of costs and workload. THL also hopes to reduce the rate of human error in tasks such as generating calls for tender.

“Cloudia Sourcing has made the procurement team’s work easier as it helps make the tendering process more planned, centralized, and professional.”
