Tieto to future-proof procurement processes with Cloudia
Finnish growth company selected over international competition to provide new digital procurement system for Tieto
HELSINKI, Finland (13.12.2018) – Finnish growth company and digital procurement and contract lifecycle management service provider Cloudia has been selected to digitize Tieto’s procurement system. Tieto and Cloudia have entered into a multi-year cooperation agreement, in which Tieto will get access to Cloudia’s entire procurement system tool portfolio, including Cloudia Supplier Management, Cloudia Sourcing, Cloudia Planning and Cloudia Contract. The solution covers the entire global corporate procurement.
Tieto carried out an exceptionally thorough, multi-phase selection process – including customer reference visits – in order to find the right procurement partner. Finally, Cloudia was selected as the winner.
Cloudia Oy has more than doubled it’s turnover in four years from 2,4M€ in 2016 to last year’s total of 5,7M€. Cloudia’s customers include among others KPMG, Biogen, March, VR, Kela, Caruna, Yle, Apotti, and Pöyry.
Cloudia operates in both private and public sectors. Its success story started in 2008, when it provided Joensuu city with a digital procurement system, the first purely-digital procurement system made for the public sector in Europe.
Cloudia is now the market leader in digitizing public sector procurement in Finland. With the help of Cloudia, significant amounts of taxpayers money have been saved. For example, Helsinki city saved over 2 million euros in an individual healthcare sector contract.
